BIO

I was previously the salon director of a large, multi-location salon and there I found my love for the beauty industry. I took what I learned from my years there, disassembled what I had been taught about how a salon was “supposed” to operate, and built something like nothing I've encountered before. My team have incredible work/life balance and to date we still hold all 5 star reviews across all platforms. I am so proud.

I now also own a second salon in Elizabeth City, NC (Pearl Hair Studio) and I co-own a traveling bridal hairstyling company (Citrine Bride).

Outside of being a salon owner I'm a professional photographer, mother, wife, dog/cat/chicken mom, traveler, beach enthusiast, and love to entertain at our home.

Meet Lindsey! Our esthetician specializing in all things lashes, brows + skin! Hiring an Esthetician wasn't really on our radar when we first envisioned Citrine, then Lindsey came along with her bright smile and mission to help people become their best selves, with a holistic approach to beauty, and we were sold! Beauty for the minimalist is her motto! Her mission fit in so perfectly within our own, we knew that bringing her on to the team was meant to be.

Before she became an Esthetician Lindsey worked in Early Education for years. She was actually a preschool Librarian if you can picture anything cuter than that?! She always knew that her purpose was to help people and now that she's found her calling is to do that through esthetics, she couldn't be happier! She is truly living her best life through this dream career.

Emma's lived in Virginia Beach for over 8 years and has had a passion for doing hair since she was a child. She loves getting to know new people and being a part of helping others feel more confident and beautiful.

Ashley Joe Fowler

She strives to create a fun and personalized experience for every person in her chair and works with her guests to make their hair dreams a reality.

Ashley graduated from Rudy & Kelly Academy in 2017. Behind the chair, she enjoys all things hair color, from blonding and “lived-in looks” to fun fantasy hair. She’s got you! She also has a love for face-framing and bangs and will happily educate her guests on how to style their new look!

Ashley has lived all over but moved to Virginia with her husband, who is US Navy Veteran. They have a now 4 year old daughter, Daphne, and 2 adorable pups. When Ashley is not in the salon, she enjoys being out in nature or taking trips to Charlottesville with her family, or enjoying some of Virginia’s wineries.

Andrea is a well rounded hair artist with a decade of experience in the beauty industry moving through apprenticeships, stylist roles, and salon leadership positions. She studied and became licensed originally in NYC, where she was mentored through extensive and advanced cut and color techniques. Through those experiences, she has become most passionate about continued education and is ultimately fulfilled by providing mentorship to other beauty professionals.

Ashley is a firm believer in solution based recommendations for her clients. She prides herself in educating you on haircare that will improve the health and appearance of your hair. She is always investing in continued education to make sure she’s bringing you the best, most current information.

She loves spending time in nature! If she’s not in the salon, you can find Ashley hiking by the cranberry bogs in WV, or camping under the stars in Luray.
