Whether you're a salon regular or haven't seen the inside of a hair salon in years, knowing how to best prepare for your hair appointment can be confusing! CITRINE’s goal is to work our hardest to take the stress out of your hair appointment. For this reason, we have developed a list of the seven essential things to know to ensure you have the best salon experience!

I'M NEW HERE, HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY HAIR FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Coming in with clean and dry hair is best! Gone are the days of super harsh chemicals that require a dirty scalp to protect it. We use Eufora color, which is extremely gentle with little to no ammonia. This means that if there is a lot of product or build-up on the hair, the color will have a difficult time doing its job. For this reason, we always recommend coming in with clean, product-free hair to ensure the best color results! If you are not receiving a color service, clean hair is not necessary.

WHAT IF I’M RUNNING LATE?

When you reserve an appointment with us, we carefully schedule out the perfect amount of time for your visit. This means if you are even just 10 minutes late, our next guest has to sit and wait 10 minutes past their appointment time. We understand how valuable time is and want to do our best to respect yours. For this reason, it is essential to arrive on time for your appointment! We understand things happen that are out of your control. If you notice that you may be running late, please let us know. That way, we can do our best to accommodate or reschedule if necessary. Expect that if you are running 20 or more minutes late, we will have to reschedule, out of respect for all our guests.

HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE?

We will go over exactly how long your visit will be in the consultation before booking your appointment. The time it takes will vary depending on your hair length and density. If you have any time constraints for your visit, please let us know ahead of time.

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?

For safety and health reasons, we ask that you do not bring anyone with you to your appointment at this time.

SO, WHAT IS MY INVESTMENT?

You will notice that we do not list individual stylists prices or “levels” on our service menu. CITRINE stylists are all on their own very personal career paths. We believe that each of our stylists are unique in their skills and talents, and should charge appropriately for the areas in which they specialize. This is good news for you! It basically means that while a stylist with specific or advanced training in one area may charge on the higher price range for that particular service, she may still charge a lower price range for her other services.

Price ranges are listed on our service menu page. If you are working within a budget, please let us know when you fill out your consultation form so we can help by pairing you with the best stylist for your needs.

We always give an exact price quote during the consultation in the beginning of your hair appointment. If you have budgetary restrictions, please schedule an in person consultation BEFORE scheduling your hair appointment. These are always complimentary and take about 15 minutes.

NOTE: We accept all major credit cards. We do not accept cash or checks. Gratuities are accepted, but never expected, in the form of cash or card.

WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT?

Isn't this the worst? You try to schedule out time to conceal those dreaded roots before they take over. Then BOOM! dramatic pause Life happens and now you will not be able to make it to your appointment. It happens to the best of us. Just give us a call or a text, and we will do our best to reschedule your visit or put you on our waiting list if necessary. Note that we do require a MINIMUM of 48 hours notice to reschedule. Any less does not allow enough time to notify other guests on the waiting list about the new opening. Less than 48 hours notice will be charged for 50% of the services booked. No show/No call will be charged 100% of the services booked. Communication is key.
